On a walk or hike, discover nature step by step... Learn to recognize the fauna and flora easily with ecoBalade.
Start the walk to the Haute Provence ornithological reserve from the bridge in the village of Volonne (parking lot). Follow the white markings inscribed in blue “Tour du lac” towards the village of Châteaux-Arnoux and the dam. Follow the Durance river.
Accessible to all, this 10 km walk with no difference in altitude offers you a remarkable procession of flora and fauna.
This nature walk is an opportunity to observe wetland birds. Observation posts are at your disposal for the more patient among you. Be vigilant, a pair of marsh harriers may appear at any time. You will be alerted by the mallard ducks that will take off as they pass.
Walk, observe: birds, insects and many others hide behind a large stem, the reed. The reed bed is a safe shelter for many species, be attentive and discreet.
