Public transport first!

By train…

Coming to Haute Provence by train means having the choice between the mythical Pignes Train which connects Nice to Digne-les-Bains or the TGV which passes through Aix-en-Provence and connects us to the Rhodanien and Paris axis. At the train station from Aix-en-Provence/TGV, the connection to Digne-les-Bains will be via a Regional Express Line (LER66) with 5 round trips per day.

From Marseille, With the Regional Express Train which goes up to Briançon, your point of arrival in Haute Provence will be the train station Château Arnoux-St Auban (a connection to Digne-les-Bains will be provided by a coach service).

…and by Bus

The main Regional Express Lines connect all the towns in the department via Digne-les-Bains. Timetables, lines and prices can be consulted on the official website of the network. The community Provence Alps Agglomeration has a carpooling platform that connects drivers and passengers from all municipalities to promote shared mobility on a local scale! Adapted to the rural and mountainous character of the territory where the car often remains the most practical mode of travel, this free service is a responsible solution mobility in areas poorly or not served by public transport.

By road

Digne-les-Bains et Val de Durance in Haute Provence, are located in the heart of the Alpes de Haute Provence department. To get there by road, take the D1075 from Grenoble, the A51 from Marseille or the N202 from Nice. Digne-les-Bains and the Val de Durance are located on the Napoleon Route, which connects Golfe Juan to Grenoble.

How to come, get around

In all the city

The entire city (sites, tourist places and administrations) is served by the Dignois Urban Transport Authority (RTUD). Made up of 4 urban lines (line 1 is doubled for schools), the network operates from monday to saturday. For People with Reduced Mobility, the network provides a special line: FlexiTUD. This is a minibus specially equipped for disabled people allowing on-demand and door-to-door transport. The beneficiaries of this service are the holders of the “Flexitud” card (valid for 2 years) issued by the Communal Center for Social Action.
