Gurgling and crackling

After the curtain, the breeze on our faces contrasts with the body still immersed in the hot water. The steam rises and swirls before dissipating and revealing a magical setting between bath and mountain, suspended on the thread of nature. Time almost stops in this relaxing and cocooning environment.

Bubbling, deep gurgles become crackling, fizzing on each end of our skin. The jets of water relax our muscles, tickle us. The foam on the surface reminds us of the foamy baths of our childhood.

The pool game

The rule is simple: go from a boiling bath to an ice bath.

  • First step, the easiest (for some!): slip into the water at 40°C.
  • Second step, already more complicated: pass through water at 33°C.
  • Last step, for the more adventurous: climb into the water at 15°C.

All this to have better blood circulation! Who among you will take up the challenge?? (Not me !!)

Moist heat, dry heat

We can see the dotted mosaic through the steam which guides us with its patterns. Lying on the benches, we feel the humidity enveloping us. Drops of water fall from the ceiling and trickle down our foreheads. Ultimate detox feeling!

Change of atmosphere: the smell of wood, the clean lines of the smooth benches and the purity of the place are calming. The crackling of the hot stones raises the temperature like a burning fire. The anti-stress properties are felt and our skin is deeply cleansed during these relaxing rituals..

The word relaxation takes on its full meaning here, it's incredible how we physically feel letting go. Then the fact of being able to go from one pool to another is a whole atmosphere, a journey.

A taste of Tibet

Then, everyone has their own care. For me, it’s Tibetan massage. Céline comes to pick me up in the Cocoon Room with a kind smile that immediately puts me at ease. Dim lights, soft music, and the subtle scent of “Instant Précieux” Ayurvedic oil, composed of a blend of sunflower oil, sweet almond, sesame, macadamia and organic coconut. Lying on my stomach, his hands slowly warm up on my back. Her rubbing, brushing and sweeping movements in circles and figure eights are reminiscent of an artist raking a Zen garden.

Kansu bowl

Nearing the end, the massage is performed on the feet with a Kansu Bowl. In many spiritual traditions, the body and soul are linked and even embodied in the soles of the feet. Often neglected and perceived as modest servants of the body, it is time to thank them and provide them with the care they deserve. The soles of the feet, hypersensitive compared to the rest of the body with their hundreds of thousands of nerve endings, feel all the reliefs of the handmade bowl. Tea is offered after the massage to end this day of fullness.
