Week-end raquettes à neige : sur la piste du loup

Program

A mythical and fascinating animal, the wolf is back in the mountains of Haute Provence. We set off to discover the wild spaces that he frequents.
We will explore a very rich world, a territory of abundant fauna and flora, where many signs of presence are visible if you pay attention.
It is common to come across chamois and mouflons who enjoy the tranquility of these isolated areas.
With a little luck, we will find the wolf's trail and follow its trail to imagine its destination, its intentions and try to think like it.
While it arouses enthusiasm among many, the wolf arouses distrust, even hostility, in some who suffer from its presence. The wolf comes to question our relationship with nature and the place of humans in their environment. This hike will therefore be an opportunity to better understand the impacts of wolves, particularly on the pastoral sector, and to think about a way of life more in harmony with living things. We will have the opportunity to meet a shepherd who will explain to us how he copes with the presence of the wolf. Crossing eyes will allow us to have as accurate a vision as possible of the cohabitation between humans and predators.
Meeting time and place: Saturday morning at 10 a.m., Place d’armes de Seyne
Return: Sunday 16 p.m. at the Seyne parade ground
Transport by minibus to the starting point of the hike.
