Tis'Ânes invites you to discover the La Routo Great Hike route at your walking pace in the company of educated donkeys who will carry your luggage while motivating your children to walk!
It's an original way to rediscover simple joys and create unforgettable memories.
Set off to discover our magnificent region, made up of mountains, valleys and ancestral drailles which will allow you to discover a landscape with a thousand facets and to meet people who will be able to tell you about their lives and the history of their mountains. You are provided with the bags as well as technical sheets.
A donkey carries the luggage of 2 to 3 people, i.e. 30 to 40 kg of load in total.
For this stay based on 4 people, two donkeys are necessary.
GR®69 La Routo
Day 1: Arrival around 17 p.m. First contact with your donkey, accommodation and evening meal at the Asinerie Tis'Ânes in Le Vernet.
Day 2: Reception at 08:30 a.m. at the Donkey Farm – Tis'Ânes, preparation of your donkey with a professional donkey driver.
Option 1: Hike on the GR®69 La Routo from La Javie allowing entry through the traditional gate of transhumant shepherds into our mountains of the Blanche valley through its abandoned hamlets. Passage at the Col du Malhiver to reach the Col du Labouret and Le Vernet for a meal and lodging at l'Âsinerie – Tis'Ânes
Option 2: Hike on the GR®69 La Routo from Le Vernet towards Chalose towards the Charcherie plateau and this magnificent abandoned hamlet with a 360° view of the Ecrins and the Dignois peaks. Meal and bivouac at La Charcherie near the hamlet.
Day 3: Option 1: The ascent of the Le Vernet valley to La Maison forestière de Bellevue via Chalose, Charcherie and the village of Seyne-les-Alpes which takes an ancestral path linking the hamlets where you can visit Fort Vauban in Seyne and the Maison du Mulet while reaching your bivouac site in the cedar and sequoia forests.
Option 2: The ascent of the valley begins with a beautiful hike from La Charcherie to the Maison forestière de Bellevue, passing through the village of Seyne-les-Alpes, which takes an ancestral path linking the hamlets where you can visit Fort Vauban in Seyne and the Maison du Mulet while reaching your bivouac site in the cedar and sequoia forests.
Day 4: From the Bellevue forest house, head towards the Bernardez peak (2420 m), with a 360° view of the surrounding massifs and the Ubaye valley. Before reaching the small village of Saint Barthélemy, torrents and streams are ideal for swimming and a well-deserved break. Climb up to the Laverq refuge where Emmanuelle will be happy to welcome you and serve you a delicious meal, the secret of which only she knows.
Day 5: From the Laverq Refuge, you will stroll across the plateau to come across the Abbey (1145) before climbing the Séolane and coming down through its majestic forests. You will be imbued with the wild charm of these places and its neighboring peaks silhouetted at more than 2500 m against the blue sky, punctuated by small hamlets perched on dry stone walls, you will arrive at your host's home via the track at Méolans-Revel , home cooking will delight you before a well-deserved rest!
Day 6: From Méolans-Revel towards Barcelonnette, you will come across basins in Les Thuiles, ideal for a picnic and swimming break for the children. You will continue on your way, towards the villa La Sapinière in the Barcelonnette park where you can go after this leisurely day of hiking, to the Musée de la Vallée (a museum about the local people who emigrated to Mexico, before returning to the region). Either you decide to stop here and we will come and pick you up. Or you can continue towards Jausiers to reach your accommodation for the rest of the journey.
