Program

Tis'Ânes invites you to discover the La Routo Great Hike route at your walking pace in the company of educated donkeys who will carry your luggage while motivating your children to walk!
It's an original way to rediscover simple joys and create unforgettable memories.

Set off to discover our magnificent region, made up of mountains, valleys and ancestral drailles which will allow you to discover a landscape with a thousand facets and to meet people who will be able to tell you about their lives and the history of their mountains. You are provided with the bags as well as technical sheets.
A donkey carries the luggage of 2 to 3 people, i.e. 30 to 40 kg of load in total.
For this stay based on 4 people, two donkeys are necessary.

GR® 69 La Routo®

Day 1: Arrival around 17 p.m. First contact with your donkey Accommodation and evening meal at the Asinerie Tis'Ânes in Le Vernet.

Day 2: Reception at 08:30 a.m. at the Donkey Farm – Tis'Ânes, preparation of your donkey with a professional donkey driver.
Option 1: Hike on the GR®69 La Routo from La Javie allowing entry through the traditional gate of transhumant shepherds into our mountains of the Blanche valley through its abandoned hamlets. Passage at the Col du Malhiver to reach the Col du Labouret and Le Vernet for a meal and lodging at l'Âsinerie – Tis'Ânes
Option 2: Hike on the GR®69 La Routo from Le Vernet towards Chalose towards the Charcherie plateau and this magnificent abandoned hamlet with a 360° view of the Ecrins and the Dignois peaks. Meal and bivouac at La Charcherie near the hamlet.

Day 3: Option 1: The ascent of the Le Vernet valley to La Maison forestière de Bellevue via Chalose, Charcherie and the village of Seyne-les-Alpes which takes an ancestral path linking the hamlets where you can visit Fort Vauban in Seyne and the Maison du Mulet while reaching your bivouac site in the cedar and sequoia forests.
Option 2: The ascent of the valley begins with a beautiful hike from La Charcherie to the Maison forestière de Bellevue, passing through the village of Seyne-les-Alpes, which takes an ancestral path linking the hamlets where you can visit Fort Vauban in Seyne and the Maison du Mulet while reaching your bivouac site in the cedar and sequoia forests.

Day 4: From the Bellevue forest house, head towards the Bernardez peak (2420 m), with a 360° view of the surrounding massifs and the Ubaye valley. Before reaching the small village of Saint Barthélemy, torrents and streams are ideal for swimming and a well-deserved break. Climb up to the Laverq refuge where Emmanuelle will be happy to welcome you and serve you a delicious meal, the secret of which only she knows.

Day 5: From the Laverq Refuge, you will stroll across the plateau to come across the Abbey (1145) before climbing the Séolane and descending through its majestic forests. You will be imbued with the wild charm of these places and its neighboring peaks standing out at more than 2500 m in the blue of the sky, punctuated by small hamlets perched on dry stone walls, you will arrive at your host by the track in Méolans-Revel, a home-cooked meal will delight you before a well-deserved rest!

Day 6: From Méolans-Revel towards Barcelonnette, you will come across some basins at Les Thuiles, ideal for picnics and swimming for the children. You will continue on your way, towards the villa La Sapinière in the Barcelonnette park where you can go after this leisurely day of hiking, to the Musée de la Vallée (a museum about the local people who emigrated to Mexico, before returning to the region).

Day 7: Welcome at 08:30 a.m. on the Tis'Ânes grounds in Jausiers, preparation of your donkey with a professional donkey driver. Hike on the GR®69 La Routo from Jausiers towards La Condamine, you enter the Haute Ubaye territory before returning to your hostel for the night in Saint Ours.

Day 8: From Saint-Ours near Val d'Oronaye in the Mercantour National Park in the Ubaye Valley. The route leads to the Col de Larche in the Oronaye valley on the French-Italian border where you will be received at the Lauzanier refuge by your host.

Day 9: Leaving the Larche refuge, you will take the small path which will allow you to enter the Mercantour park. Follow the GR towards Lake Oronaye and then follow the Col du Ruburent, border with Italy. You will reach your Bivouac location on the banks of Lac du Ruburent. Remember to look around you, you will probably be lucky enough to see marmots and chamois. You will spend a magical night on the borders of France and Italy.

Day 10: You will leave Lake Ruburent in the direction of Argenteras and Berzesio before going up to Ferrere passing through the heights of Bersezio with spots on the Valle de la Stura surrounded by peaks before reaching the Becchi Rossi refuge at Ferrere to take a well-deserved break after this big day of hiking in Italian territory.

Day 11: Ferrere Refuge, head towards Beccho Rosso (2261m) before descending to Pontebernardo, end of your adventure. You can visit the Pastorizia ecomuseum and refresh yourself while waiting for your return to France. Repatriation to Le Vernet by car at the end of the afternoon. End of your tour at 18:30 p.m.
