Rencontre entre refuge d’art et beauté de la nature
An original way to discover the best of Andy Goldsworthy’s artwork in Haute Provence
Description
The mountains around Digne-les-Bains offer a wide variety of landscapes. A kind of Hybrid territory between the Alps and Provence, the first one to be certified as “Geoparc” by UNESCO. The explorer Alexandra David Néel has chosen to retire here just because it remembered her the most remote areas of Tibet. Andy Goldsworthy has chosen to create one of his best art collections here just because this landscape and the local heritage gave him so much inspiration : it’s called “Refuge d’Art” because the artwork is nestled in old chapels, barns, shelters or farms.
We are proposing a guided & itinerant tour around this very special territory. Four days of discovery and five nights spent in memorable places.
