The gîte "le Galabre", named after the torrent which flows at its feet, is quietly located at the end of the village. It leans against the mountain facing an open valley up to the Dourbes bar which offers magnificent sunsets.
Description
Located in the heart of the works of Andy Goldswothy and partner of the Unesco Geopark of Haute Provence. A way to recharge your batteries, to taste Haute Provence and discover this land of contrasts and light by following the advice of Jacky, country guide.
The cottage is adjoining our house that we designed, designed and built ourselves at the end of this small village of 320 inhabitants.
From the car park reserved for you, you will descend a few steps to reach a large wooden terrace covered with a shade sail and an original guardrail, a barbecue is ready for your meals on the terrace and you can even harvest tomatoes and aromatic herbs from "your garden"! It offers you a majestic view of the mountains culminating at 1400 and 1600 meters which border the "Robines", our famous Black Lands.
The bedroom with its overhanging 140x190 bed opens directly to the rising sun on the garden.
But you will like the kitchen, perched behind a fresco "an olive tree near a shed in a lavender field" overlooking a living room to the South.
A second bedroom where 2 beds in 90 rest on a platform.
The bathroom with separate WC will surprise you with its helicoidal shower.
18m² of solar collectors provide you with hot water. A garden on our ammonite slab offers a swing for children and sunbathing for all.
