Yes, if it is a three-week cure prescribed by your physician. In the general case, the refund amounts to:

65% for thermal treatments. 70% for the physician’s supervision fees. People benefiting from the exemption of co-payment by social security are covered at 100%.

You can get partial coverage of your accommodation and transportation fees.

You can stay in Digne les Bains or its surroundings, at the hotel, at the campsite or at the tourist residence which is adjoined to the thermal baths and spa building. You also have many short-term furnished apartments rentals to enjoy your stay.

It is preferable to book your health cure and accommodation as soon as you know the date of your stay. Don’t forget to book your accommodation before your thermal treatments.

Treatments are scheduled in the morning. During crowded periods (September and October), they can also be provided in the afternoon.

Massages and bathtub care are individual treatments.  Mobility exercises are practised collectively in the swimming pool.

Bathrobes and bath towels are provided but you must think about bringing a bathing suit, plastic sandals and a swim cap.

 

The thermal baths and spa building is 3 km away from the centre of Digne les Bains.

On the first day of your cure, you can go to the thermal baths with the “RTUD” bus – line 1 Les Thermes – (Digne les Bains urban bus service). On presentation of your health cure card, you can benefit from the free shuttle bus service (departure from the bus station).

Digne les Bains and its surroundings are filled with activities and places to discover. City of water since antiquity, Digne les Bains invites you to wander through its narrow streets following the Path of Water. In the city centre as well, the Archaeological Crypt of Notre Dame du Bourg traces the history of the city from the 1st century. Outdoor and nature lovers will enjoy the many hiking activities, some of which start from the city centre and take you to the very heart of nature!

Digne les Bains is part of the UNESCO Geopark of Haute Provence – which means many sites to discover – the Dalle aux Ammonites fossil slab and the Promenade Museum to begin with.
