The ammonite slab
The most famous site of the Geological Reserve. It has over 320 ammonites on 1 m². These ammonites are large: the largest are 550 cm in diameter!
Their scientific name is Coroniceras multicostatum. This species makes it possible to date the slab to around 200 million years (Lower Jurassic).
