Village of Saint-Jeannet
Located in the Vallon du Cardaïre, Saint Jeannet was crossed by an old ancient road linking Riez to Digne. The village was once perched on a hill, next to the Chapelle Saint-Jean.
Description
This small 1th century Romanesque building listed in the inventory of Historic Monuments is accessible by hiking from the village (XNUMX hour round trip). The Saint-Jean Chapel offers a remarkable view of the village of Saint Jeannet and of a landscape typical of the Asse valley, where there are traces of terraced cultivation, a shed in ruins and a few plots of lavender.
