Village de Beaujeu

At 888 meters above sea level, the village of Beaujeu is made up of a group of hamlets and forests.
At the top of the hill overlooking the village are the ruins of an ancient tower that tradition attributes to the Knight of the Temple.

The town of Beaujeu is made up of different hamlets: Recuit, le Clucheret, Beaujeu, St-Pierre, le Labouret, l'Escale, Fondrède, Boullard.
The churches of St Pierre and Beaujeu date from the XNUMXth century.

For walkers, starting from the hamlet of l'Escale, you can reach Mont Blayeul, located at an altitude of 2.170 m, it offers a breathtaking view of the Alps. From the hamlet of St Pierre, you can discover Sariège, a village in ruins.
