Neo-gothic co-cathedral of Digne les Bains

Description

Following the state of neglect of the Notre Dame du Bourg Cathedral due to Religious Wars, the bishop decided, in 1490, to have a new church built between the castle and the churchtower.

Many layouts of the neo-gothic cathedral were made until its recent aspect from the 19th century. Extended and more beautiful, it was raised as co-cathedral in 1962 and classified as Historical Monument.
