Refuge d'Art "Sentinelle de la Vallée de l'Asse"

A singular experience that of Andy Goldsworthy, artist
internationally recognized, who imagines a project combining contemporary art
and safeguarding rural heritage in the protected territory of the Haute-Provence Geopark, around Digne les Bains.

layering of strata. It becomes, so to speak, a geological process in which the stone is brought back to its initial state as a bed of rock; it is a mass that is not inflexible, which will soften and stabilize over time. It is a process close to growth.“

From Digne les Bains:
Take the N85 towards Castellane and Nice. At the level of the village of
Barrême, turn left on the D19 towards Tartonne. Arrived at Plan de
Hot, take the D219 then go past the Hameau des Laugiers. Around
2Km from this point, the Sentinel will be on your left in a bend
under a tall pine.
