Refuge d’Art “Les Bains Thermaux”

04000 Digne-les-Bains

How do I get there?

A singular experience that of Andy Goldsworthy, artist
internationally recognized, who imagines a project combining contemporary art
and safeguarding rural heritage in the protected territory of the Haute-Provence Geopark, around Digne les Bains.

“In a sense, the cairns inside the houses become the milestones
walking and memorials to those who once lived
here. Walk the old paths that were once the main roads
linking the villages together communicates the very strong feeling of the energy and the life that once existed in the villages now in ruins, located high up in the mountains, and thereby perhaps evokes, in return, the precariousness and fragility of our lives.“
Andy Goldsworthy

From Digne les Bains

the Thermal establishment, continue for 500 meters then park to the right of
the road on a car park provided for this purpose near the sign indicating access to the
Corobin pass.

Continue on foot on the track which starts in front of the car park after having
crossed a barrier. At the end of the track, pass a first gate, fork
on the left opposite the indication of the Château de la Reine Jeanne. the
