How do I get there?

About

Unique experience than that of Andy Goldsworthy, internationally recognized artist, who imagines a project combining contemporary art and safeguarding rural heritage on the protected territory of the Geopark of Haute-Provence, around Digne les Bains.

“The ground floor has few windows and a low ceiling. The darkness will be
pierced by intense rays of light. It's the perfect atmosphere for
build arches of white stone: they will appear as ghosts
architectural elements and their number must be sufficient to communicate to the room
a feeling of movement and circulation.
The stone will be the same as the Sentinels. White, alive, in the
light and building space. I like the idea that Sentinels are
lookouts for the arks.“
Andy Goldsworthy

From Digne les Bains:
Take the D900 towards La Javie and Barcelonnette. After 5km
turn right on the D22 to the village of Draix (5 km more
about).
About 20 minutes
Continue on foot on the track that descends to the northwest (yellow markings)
to the bridge over the Bouinenc. Continue north on a path that rises
in the black marls (about 1,5 km) then take a path on the left which
rises steeply in the forest for about 500 m. The farm is on the
left of the path, on the hillside, hidden by the trees.
About 45 minutes

Please note: for reasons of the fragility of the work, the interior of the Refuge d'art is no longer accessible.
