The La Javie eco-museum presents the life of the village and Haute Bléone in the past. A journey 100 years ago through 8 themed exhibitions. Open by telephone appointment. Free admission.
We discover the classroom, the grocery store, the kitchen, the shoemaker's workshop, the tinsmith, etc.
Also see the exhibition “Les Poilus de La Javie: 1914-1918”, the Ste Madeleine church, the Notre Dame chapel, the plum drying room, the wash house and the “bugade”, the Pichotin garden collection of young grafted fruit trees genotypes Javie. Full-window exhibition of agricultural equipment.
The hike to the Notre-Dame Chapel is also offered after the visit (30min).
