The Lure ridge n°23 – Average difficulty 18km – 5h30

The Lure ridge N°23 Malfougasse ©

This relatively long circuit leads you to the crest of the Lure mountain, from where the observation of the Alps and Provence is remarkable.

From the village of Mallefougasse, take the track that leads to the Lure ridge. Arrived on the crest of Lure, turn right to Pas de Jean Richaud. Shortly after this passage, turn right into a beech grove where a few charcoal pits still bear witness to the exploitation of wood until the beginning of the XNUMXth century. Much lower, after a passage in height of the so-called borie de Mouranchon, pass near the chapel of Ste Magdeleine, then switch due south to reach Mallefougasse.
