“La TransVerdon” begins at the sources of the Verdon, at the Allos pass, located at an altitude of 2.247 m. It is a journey of 260 km between these alpine mountains and Gréoux-les-Bains, resolutely complete and technical, punctuated by well-deserved swimming breaks.

Description

Labeled by the French Cycling Federation, La TransVerdon is one of the 11 largest mountain bike crossings in France!

In the Val d'Allos and the Haut-Verdon valley you evolve on a sporty route where your efforts are rewarded by varied, fun trails and grandiose landscapes. With the entry into the Regional Natural Park of Verdon there are new wonders with the mountains, the lakes and the gorges of the Verdon. Your route ends with the shoulders of the Valensole plateau and the lavender fields before arriving at the foot of the Templar castle in Gréoux-les-Bains.

Labeled by the French Cycling Federation, La TransVerdon is one of the 11 largest mountain bike crossings in France!

The TransVerdon is intended for regular practitioners wishing to alternate climbs on paths, sometimes physical, and descents on fun and technical trails. Between these stages, sections on paths allow you to recover and take full advantage of all the diversity of the landscapes of the Alpes de Haute-Provence.

Throughout this exceptional itinerary you will find suitable accommodation which will allow you to organize your stages according to your wishes. If it is necessary to plan a week to complete each of these routes, it is possible to complete only part of them during a short stay.
