Concert – ARROYO TRIO
ARRoYo takes its name from these small torrents that run through the peaks, filling up over the seasons, before curling up in the hollows of the forests or burning under the fires of the deserts.
Navigating between composition and improvised music, their music is structured like a long suite, oscillating between contemporary jazz, folk-rock accents and poetry.
The group composed of Jérôme Mathevon on the piano, Olivier Pinto on the double bass and David Carniel on the drums wants to be variable in geometry according to encounters and inspirations. For their forthcoming first album, the band has been enriched by the presence of Andrew Sudhibasilp on guitar and Gaya Feldheim-Schorr on vocals. Their first eponymous opus captures the spontaneous encounter between five musicians from different backgrounds. He links compositions and musical improvisations, poetry and graphic creation in a protean work. This project, supported by Raphaël Imbert, is the fruit of eight years of complicity within the Jazz class of Jean-Luc Lafuente at the CNRR in Marseille.
