First steps between air and reeds
The reeds bend under the wind but do not break. The lapping on the rocks, the whistling of birds and the orange sky sublimate this wild lake.
The pirouette egret…
Posted in the middle of the reeds, binoculars on the nose, telescopes in hand. The egret is pirouetting, the heron is doing good and the cormorant is hovering in the wind. The dance is wild and majestic, the ballet captivating.
It's rush hour here!
Hundreds of majestic birds appear, brush past us, flutter before landing elegantly on the lake. Carried away by our guide's fascinating and colorful stories, we witness a rare spectacle: a bird of prey in full hunt darts a few meters from our heads. It captures its prey and disappears as quickly as it arrived, shutting us down.
It's super interesting to take the time to watch all these birds, their movements, alone or in groups... Observation really allows us to understand how precious the environment is for them, but also for us...
The highlight of the show
The last point of view takes us up for a panorama of the reserve. Powerful and moving, the painting is magnificent, the moment unforgettable. At the foot of the mountains, the bluish water in the middle of the reeds gilded by the evening sun leaves us speechless. It's hard to take your eyes off this aerial ballet...

On this part of the Durance, the ecotourism facilities offer superb views of the river, its fauna and its flora. Cross the Himalayan footbridge, follow the river on foot or by bike and observe the environment using the numerous information panels.
