In the heart of the Southern Alps, midway between Gap, Digne and Barcelonnette, 8 mountain villages, 3 mountain resorts and 1 cross-country ski site await you, be it for a solo stay, with friends or family. Look forward to mountain peaks reaching over 2700m in altitude, sun-drenched meadows, crystalline streams and lush forests where lavender and martagon lilies meet. Each village reveals its own charm, part of which stems from the fact that the locals still keep their traditions alive.

Rich in its diversity, the territory conceals many historical sites, museums and monuments, notably the Vauban Citadel in Seyne-les-Alpes. The region is also part of the Haute-Provence Natural Geological Reserve.

No sandy beaches here, but the air is pure, the landscapes breathtaking and the huge plus: the Mediterranean sun. The beauty of the site has inspired a poet to christen the region “a little corner of Switzerland lost under the Provence sun”. During your hikes, you will observe rich flora and fauna such as orchids, edelweiss, martagon lilies, chamois, ibex and bighorn sheep.

Looking for a destination for the winter holidays? Nestled at the foot of the mountain range, culminating at an altitude of more than 2500m, the territory of Blanche Serre-Ponçon offers 3 alpine ski areas: Montclar, Chabanon-Selonnet and the Grand Puy.

Additionally, the Fanget outdoor and nature site will delight you with its 33km of cross-country skiing trails (classic and skate skiing) with a minimum width of 3.6m, as well as 13km of snowshoe routes.

For a time to reunite with oneself, with nature or with loved ones, come and enjoy the sunny plateaus and slopes, fragrant forests and grandiose panoramas of the Serre-Ponçon Lake and surrounding mountain ranges.
