Village of Beynes

At an altitude of 793 m, the village of Beynes dominates the plain of the Asse.

You can see the ruins of a 1591th century fortified castle there, where Protestant troops took refuge in XNUMX. In the hamlet of Plan-de-Beynes, another castle (XNUMXth century) now houses the town hall.

Beynes offers multiple circuits for hikers: the mountain of Beynes (1.601 m), the Church of Sainte-Madeleine and Saint-Etienne, the forest track in the Saint-Pierre district which leads to a XNUMXth century chapel.
