In the land of the memory of the Earth, 300 million years of history of the planet...Come and encounter sites and landscapes that retrace the long history of the Earth and (re)discover its evolution through this rich heritage geological.

Description

3 days / 2 nights, in bed and breakfast, breakfast included in Digne-les-Bains, valid from April to November, departures possible every day, from 4 to 7 people.

Geostay program:
1 Day:
Arrival in the afternoon from 15 p.m., possible access to the Thermal Spa, or at the end of the day (day of your choice) for installation in your room. Free dinner, overnight stay, breakfast included.
2 Day:
Departure from the hotel towards the Bès valley, near the Clue du Pérouré for a day of hiking (possible supplement for the accompaniment), in the first part of the day stroll to the Vieil Esclangon art refuge then to Le Serre which dominates the village and offers an impressive panorama of the UNESCO Geopark then return by the same route.
Picnic break (to be planned) at the Bès footbridge, on the banks of the river.
Then departure for the Lame de Facibelle hike, a monumental geological curiosity. End of the day, dinner and free evening. Return to the guesthouse for the night.

3 Day:
9 a.m.: departure from the accommodation after breakfast
9:30 a.m.: guided tour of the Promenade Museum, bring walking shoes to take a path, dotted with contemporary works of art, to the exhibition halls of the house of the ramparts. A geologist will introduce you to the marine biodiversity of yesterday and today and the ammonites and fossils of the Region, this remarkable natural heritage dating back 300 million years.
11:30 a.m.: guided tour of the ammonite slab, one of the emblematic sites of the UNESCO Geopark of Haute-Provence, a Jurassic seabed which concentrates more than 1500 fossils.
12h trip to the heights of Digne-les-Bains for the picnic (to be planned) and the geological reading of landscapes with a geologist.
14 p.m.: end of stay, 3-hour access possible to the Thermal Spa, at an additional cost.

Accommodation 2 nights in guest rooms with 2 breakfasts included, descriptions of the hikes of the second day. Visits commented by geologists on day 3, and entry to the walking museum in Digne-les-Bains.

This price does not include

The tourist tax. Dinners and lunches. 3-hour access to the water park of the Thermal Spa for the afternoon of day 1 or day 3: +€16 / adult (closed on Tuesday) and €8 / child from 7 to 14 years old (access Wednesday and Sunday only)
